I seek refuge in our inherent capacity to heal and to be transformed. My goal is to support alleviating unnecessary suffering. I understand the complex environments in which poverty and inequality exist and how NGOs, health and human services organizations operate. I ignite and document individual, community and organizational transformations through research and evaluation.

I am perpetually creative – drawing from hard skills, enriched by traditional wisdom and faith orientations, and the vastness of our human diversity. These values drive me. They have pushed me to a career devoted to health and human rights and to welcoming refugees and supporting survivors of trauma. I have served on the front lines offering clinical trauma treatment, creating practice innovations, managing programs, conducting public health research and sharing outcomes through educating others and policy development. I am trained as a clinical social worker, cultural anthropologist and health policy evaluator with advanced training in forced migration studies and international development and policy management.
